Vehicle Description:

1984 Winnebago Chieftain 30’ Motor Home, Stock #2040 COMFORT IS THE WORD!!! This beautiful Motor Home has been parked and waiting for you. Winnebago is the recognized pioneer in road travel luxury and this is the perfect example. A rolling house complete with microwave and shower. The 1 ton Chevy frame and drive train Gitter Dun. All of our vehicles receive a 38 Point Inspection. MUST SEE TO APPRECIATE… Additional photos can be seen by on the Springville Auto Auction Home Page hot button. This vehicle shows not actual mileage per AutoCheck, but appears to be a reporting error. Vehicle condition says 48K original miles. VEHICLE CONDITION! Walk Around: The body is excellent with no obvious dents, tears, scratches or damage. The windows are all in good condition and seal properly. The ladder and luggage rack are solid. The wheels and tires are good. We just put 3/6 new tires on and the remaining 3 are in good shape. The AC covers are broken in a couple of places, but look fine. All of the doors and locks operate as they should, which is rare in older RVs. Overall this is the nicest RV we’ve every owned and exceptionally nice for the year. Operational: Starts up every time, idles fine, runs great at freeway speeds and stop-n-go. We just did a complete tune-up including replacing the ignition control unit, plugs, wires, cap and rotor. It runs fantastic and gets this big baby moving down the freeway. The 454 Chevy Engine has a nice big 4 bbl Carb so it has lots of power and need the 2 fuel tanks on long hauls. Smells like a small oil leak, but it’s not obvious. The transmission shifts nice and smooth. Mechanically this RV is in excellent condition. Interior: To Much To Mention (But We’ll Try). Front Captains Chairs, Fold Down Overhead bed, fold down couch, 2 swivel chairs with fold down table. 4 burner gas stove and over, overhead microwave with accessory/power controls, electric furnace, on-board generator, full bathroom, front/rear AC units. The roof had some leakage by the front AC unit, but we’ve sealed that. There some water damage on the roof and one of the swivel chairs. The water line to the shower is leaking as is the fuel line to the main tank. The generator works great, but gets fuel from the leaking line. The 120V system is in excellent shape and has a long power cord for parking. Large water and holding tanks mean plenty of time before handling. A little TLC could easily turn this very nice RV into a luxury suite. Please call us (801-489-4156) if you have questions and are a serious buyer.
